Grow

Grow ministries include anything in which the primary purpose is to learn more about God, faith, and the Christian journey. These include Sunday School, Bible study, small group studies, Vacation Bible School, etc.

Adult Sunday School Class

The Adult Sunday School class meets in the Rainbow room each Sunday from from 9:45- 10:30. The group is typically lead by the Pastor.  Each week the group discussion centers around the current study.  New members are welcome to join this class at any time.

Sunday School for Children and Youth

Children age 3 through 8th grade meet each Sunday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, September through May.

We begin each morning with lively Bible songs in the High Hopes music room, with timeless favorite songs selected by the children, or new music like the jazzy version of the B-I-B-L-E contained in the Bible Story Basics curriculum.

After music time, the children and youth separate into age-level groups.

The Beginners Class (age 3 through 3rd grade) uses UMC endorsed curriculum to discover the depths of God’s love for them expressed in the timeless stories of the Bible. Our classroom routine includes a Bible story, a Bible verse of the week, a Bible connection activity, and a snack. We close with “candle time” song and prayer.

The Seekers Class (4th grade through 8th grade) meets in the youth room to participate in creative discussions using various Bible-based curriculum resources. They learn from each other, share experiences, and strengthen their relationship with God.

Youth
Middle School youth meet monthly on Sunday evenings for fun social activities.

Prayer Questers

What is the best way to Pray? What should we say? Everyone wants to know the secret. That’s what brought the Prayer Questers together. We were a group of twelve wanting prayer guidance. The Prayer Questers meet weekly on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:00.  Each week we meet to discuss our current prayer study in an effort to be more intentional in our prayer life.  Each week we lift up joys, and concerns and pray as a group and individually through out the week. Periodically, we walk through the church and pray for the staff, the ministries and the groups that meet or worship in each space. We also have been praying for each member of the Hope family as we work our way through the church directory. The Prayer Questers feel strongly about nurturing the prayer life of Hope so we sponsor a seasonal Prayer Team that reads a scripture and prays daily for God’s direction in Hope’s ministries.  In addition, we sponsor a yearly Prayer Vigil on Holy Saturday.
